Harare

 
Zimbabwe, Harare Gardens, Mbare musika, the Kopje.

Harare is localized in south east Zimbabwe and it is a beautiful, light-filled, open city situated high on the country's central plateaux.

It is a city of modern buildings, wide thoroughfares, numerous parks and gardens. It is a city whose streets are lined with flowering trees and a wonderful and invigorating climate.

 

Bulawayo

Bulawayo is dotted with trees and parks and Victorian architecture. Explore the old world charm of the city with a walking expedition and soak in the local culture.

The Natural History Museum houses the finest collection of animal, bird and insect life in the region. It also has a fascinating display of the history of the region.

The Bulawayo Railway Museum displays an eclectic collection of scaled train models and documents the history of the Zimbabwean Railways. Don’t miss out on a ride on the miniature steam train at the Bulawayo Railway Park.

The Mzilikazi Arts and Crafts Centre is a display of local craftsmanship. You’ll get traditional African masks, pottery, baskets and much more for your souvenir collection. Also visit the Bulawayo Art Gallery for a look at the local art scene.

Bulawayo is home to the Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage. This is a rehabilitation centre for orphaned, ill and abandoned wild animals.

Bulawayo is an ideal base for trips to some famous sites. Explore the Kame Ruins, one of southern Africa's magnificent Late Iron Age ruins. Enjoy the rich wildlife at the Hwange and Matopo National Parks. When in Bulawayo don’t miss out on a trip to the spectacular Victoria Falls.

 

 
Eastern highlands

The tranquil and secluded Nyanga National Park lies in the north of the Highlands. It is home to Africa’s second highest waterfall and offers great views of the Nyanga (Rhodes) Dam. You can also visit the Rhodes Museum, Nyangombe Falls, the majestic Pungwe Falls (at a height of more than 240 m) and the Falls of Mtaraza and Muchururu, which make their way down a towering cliff into the Honde Valley.

Zimbabwe’s highest mountain, Mount Inyangani is about 15 km from the village, with a height of 2600 m.

From Nyanga, you can head to Bvumba Hills, which lie above the city of Mutare. Explore the hills and find rare African butterflies, and the even rarer Samango Monkey. The Leopard Rock Hotel with its casino and golfing facilities make for a popular stop here.

Tour Zimbabwe’s finest mountain wilderness region Chimanimani with its volcanic peaks, like Monte Binga at 2400 m, and the popular Bridal Veil Falls.
